In Buddhist Mythology the Himalayas have always been the abode of the gods. In the shadow of these Himalayas, between Tibet & India, lies the Kathmandu valley, the focal point of divine energy where humans can make contact with the realm of the gods. Geomantic forces and divine myths, as well as human history and legend, combine to make these sacred sites potent sources of spiritual revitalization. In this 6 days Yogini Pilgrim tour within Kathmandu Valley. During this period of time, we visit four major sites Shankhu Vajra Yogini, Guhyeshvari Yogini, Pharping Yogini, and Videshvari Vajra Yogini.

Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu
Pick-up at Tribhuvan International Airport, meeting with your guide and transfer to the hotel. First impressions of Kathmandu (1 350 m) – walk to medieval Kathmandu Durbar Square and explore the beautiful complex of palaces, temples, shrines and courtyards built by the ancient Nepali kings between the 12th and 18th century. We bring you to our office and Thamel – the vibrant tourist area with hotels, restaurants and bakeries. We get to know each other over a welcome dinner at Nepali Chulo (authentic nepali food with cultural show).
Day 2 – Sankhu Vajra Yogini
This sacred 17th century Newari style temple is devoted to the Tantric goddess Vajrayogini. In Buddhist mythology, Vajragonini was a wandering ascetic who achieved a level of enlightenment almost equivalent to the male Buddha. The large and unspoiled Newari village of Shankhu lies in the northeast corner of the valley on the old road to Helambu and Tibet. Shankhu Vajra Yogini’s principal identification is ugratara, the wrathful emanation of Tara, the goddess of devotion, and a very terrible protectors. By the Tibetans she is accounted as a superior wisdom goddess and a female Buddha protectectors. She is identified as Ejajati, a particularly terrible protector, and guardian of the Dzokchen Dharma.
Day 3 – Guhyeshwari Vajra Yogini
In Vajrayan Buddhisim consider Guhyeshwari to be sacred to Vajrayogini in the form of Vajravarahi and to be the location of root of the mythical lotus upon which Swayambhunath stupa rests, which is also the umbilical cord that nurthres Kathmandu.
Day 4 – Vidhyeshvari Vajra Yogini
Vidhyeshvari Vajra Yogini temple dedicated to Vajrayana buddhist deity Vajrayogini in her form as Akash Yogini. This temple stands on the west bank of the Bishnumati river.
Day 05: Pharming Vajra Yogini
Kathmandu’s 35 km southwest lies Pharping Vajrayogini temple. This temple is dedicated to Vajrayogini, is located on the side of the hill between the Yanglesho caves and the town of Pharming. It is one of the main local Newari buddhist Vajrayogini temples of the Nepal mandala which include the Shankhu Vajrayogini. Vidhyeshvari, Phamting Vajrayogini, Guhyeshwari and the Pulchwok Khagayogini temples. It is said to have been established by the Pamtingpa brothers, two imported disciples of the Buddhist mahasiddhas Naropa and Maitrepa. The present structure probably dates to the 17th century and has been renovated
