Traveltimes treks is amazing. We have used them before for routinely offered treks -my husband in 2018 for 3 passes – EBC/Cho la/Renjo La in a small group of 5. We went in 2022 to Gokyo lakes with a group of 10. Dawa/Traveltime treks proved so good on those two treks that we chose them again for latest visit to Nepal. This time we really challenged Dawa’s skills and went to multiple destinations with 11 people of different skill levels and interests. To add to the challenge we arrived (and departed) Kathmandu on different days and airlines. First trek was around Poon Hill circuit in the Annapurna region, followed by a resort stay at Green Park in Chitwan ( National Park that was the first established one for Nepal), we then had a 8 day trek in Rowaling Valley.
Rowaling was chosen by us as it is not as developed and is an area yet to be discovered by overseas tourists. We trekked to Na (4200m), with a day walk up to Tsho-Rolpha lake. (Note from this lake you can then go over a 6000m pass, down in Thame for options in the Everest area). The wildfires meant that we didnt have as spectacular mountain views as our earlier trips, but we had also chosen spring for this trip so we could see different flora and fauna. Really enjoyed this aspect of our trip. After our treks we had other stops such as overnighting in Dawa’s home Village (fantastic hospitality).
Kalinchow and Buktaphur. Dawa faced extra challenges organising this trip, we were a large group, the wildfiresdisputed travel plans (and visibility) but Dawa coped extremely well with all the challenges, managing to get refunds on flights that were cancelled (fire pollution), rebook transport and accommodation options etc, all while keeping his calm. His fellow guides and porters were all just as wonderful. Big thanks to them all for making our trip so special. 10/10 Amazing tour guide, amazing company. Highly recommended.
